Argentina's tech ecosystem has a date to mark: Tuesday April 14, 2026. Kaszek, Anthropic and Digital House are organizing Latin America's first artificial intelligence hackathon at the Digital House campus at Monroe 860, Belgrano, Buenos Aires. The event is in-person, runs a full day — 8:30 to 19:00 — and is open to all profiles: students, developers, designers, entrepreneurs and founders, individually or in teams.

The premise is concrete: build real products using Anthropic's AI models — that is, Claude — in a single day, with direct mentoring from Kaszek, Anthropic and Digital House teams. Every registered participant will receive Anthropic API credits to use during the event at no cost.

Confirmed speakers

The event has three main speakers already confirmed on the official site.

Hernán Kazah is co-founder and Managing Partner of Kaszek, Latin America's largest venture capital fund. He was also co-founder, CFO and COO of Mercado Libre, where he worked for 12 years. He is one of the most influential figures in the Latin American tech ecosystem.

Daniel Rabinovich is COO and Head of Global Product and Technology at Mercado Libre, with more than 24 years at the company — from his early days as a developer to leading product across 13 countries. He also sits on Anthropic's Advisory Board, making him a direct link between the regional tech world and the company behind Claude.

Brad Adams is Head of Product for Anthropic's platform. He leads the development of the tools and APIs that allow developers to build with Claude. His presence in Buenos Aires is particularly relevant for anyone wanting to understand where the product is heading from the inside.

How to get to Monroe 860, Belgrano

Digital House is located at Monroe 860, Belgrano, CABA, in an area with excellent public transport connections.

By bus, the lines with stops closest to Av. Monroe or Av. del Libertador are the 15, 29, 42, 107, 114 and 130.

By train, the most direct option is the Línea Mitre Ramal Tigre, alighting at Belgrano C station, which is a few blocks from the venue. The Línea Belgrano Norte with a stop at Ciudad Universitaria is another nearby alternative.

By subway, Línea D runs to Congreso de Tucumán — the end of the line — from where you can walk or take the 114 or 107 bus to reach Monroe.

What an Anthropic hackathon is and who can participate

A hackathon is a development competition where participants have a limited amount of time to build a working application from scratch. In this case, the time is one full day and the central tool is the Claude API.

What sets this type of event apart is that you don't need to be a professional developer to participate. At Anthropic's last global hackathon, more than 13,000 people applied and 500 were accepted — and among the winners were a lawyer who had never written code before and a doctor with no software development experience. Both built useful tools for their own fields using Claude as the engine.

The premise is simple: if you have a real problem to solve and willingness to learn how the API works during the day, you can participate and build something with genuine value.

Why this event matters for the Argentine tech ecosystem

Anthropic choosing Buenos Aires for its first Latin American hackathon is not a minor detail. The company, which competes directly with OpenAI in the advanced language model market, has Daniel Rabinovich of Mercado Libre on its Advisory Board — a clear nod to the regional ecosystem.

Kaszek, for its part, has invested in some of the most valuable tech companies in the region: Nubank, Gympass, Kavak, Uala and dozens more. Its partnership with Anthropic for this event is a signal that both organizations are betting on Argentine talent to build the next AI applications in Latin America.

For anyone working in tech in Argentina — whether as a developer, designer, entrepreneur or simply someone with ideas — April 14 at Monroe 860 is a concrete opportunity to connect with the people and tools that are defining the future of artificial intelligence.

How to apply
